How does the Development Center work?

The Development Center concept takes a group of middle managers, or “talent” potentials (candidates), and puts them through a series of exercises.

These exercises are observed by a 2nd group of “observers”, who are upper managers from the same company.

The job of these observers at the end of the Development Center, is to give the candidates verbal and written feedback about their skills.

This feedback will give the candidates a clearer idea as to where they are headed in their professional lives, and what skills they need to learn to get there.

At the same time, the observers will also be observed by the facilitation team, and receive feedback during the DC to their skills re: teaming, appraisal, listening and coaching skills.
